PROCESS SERVICE

We offer prompt and professional process service and have provided the following fee schedule for your convenience.  If you do not include a "Return of service" form, we will use our own.  You will be notified by e-mail or phone when service is made, or if the person does not reside at the address.  In nearly all cases, the first attempt occurs within 36 to 48 hours.  

Remember, almost anyone can be a process server.  To obtain my Private Detective License in the State of Pennsylvania, I had to meet several requirements.  I was required to be fingerprinted.  A complete criminal background check through the Disrtict Attorney's Office was performed.  I appeared before a Judge in York County Court for a hearing,  I provided five persons of reference to attest to my integrity, character and background during the application process.  In addition, I have nearly twenty-two years of law enforcement experience as a police officer and a deputy sherifff.  Be careful who you trust your legal documents with!

SERVICE WITHIN YORK COUNTY

-There is no mileage charge.  We make every effort to serve the party by going to the given address three times.

PLEASE NOTE:  There is a ($20.00) surcharge for the following zip codes within York County due to the remoteness of the areas.

17070, 17302, 17309, 17314, 17316, 17321, 17322, 17331 (Hanover), 17339, 17347, 17356 (Chanceford only), 17358, 17365, 17366, 17368, 17372, 17406, 17502 and the towns of Goldsboro and York Haven.  Few documents are delivered to these areas and the travel time can be as much as 1-2 hours roundtrip, per visit.  York County consists of approximately 900 square miles.

*Dillsburg (17019) is $99.00.  There is simply no easy way to get there from central York.            

LOCATIONS OUTSIDE OF YORK COUNTY

Locations outside of York County are ($50.00) plus ($1.00) per mile, round trip from the York County Court House, to the service location.  You can check the distance via www.mapquest.com .  You are only charged mileage for the first attempt.  

York County Court House- 45 N. George Street, York, PA 17401.

The counties that we serve regularly are Adams County PA, Lancaster PA, Dauphin County PA, Cumberland County PA and Baltimore County Maryland.

IMPORTANT-PLEASE READ THIS! 

Please note that these fees are collected as compensation for our time and vehicle expenses.  In consideration of these charges, we will make an honest effort to serve your documents in accordance with industry standards.  We cannot guarantee that we will be successful.  We do average a success rate of over 90%.  Please be aware that there are many factors that are not within our control.  Here are some of the issues that we encounter:

• Not being provided with a valid and current location. 
• No one at the location will answer the door or return phone calls.
• Other adults at the location will not accept service on behalf of the subject.

Our process service includes:

• We will attempt service up to three times. 
• On the third visit, we will post an envelope on the door that warns of the possible legal ramifications for failing to respond to your document (If you request that we do this).
• We will visit the location at varied hours, including weekends and evenings.
• We will talk to neighbors to gather information (If requested to do so).
• We will note details about the location so you know we have been there.
• We will contact you to explain why service has not been accompished.

Remember, we are being paid to deliver a document, not conduct a complete investigation.  The 10% that we do not serve are typically individuals who are intentionally avoiding service.      

Occasionally, surveillance or undercover work is needed to accomplish the service, charged at our current hourly rate.

In the event that we receive a summons to appear in court for your case, we will bill you at our current hourly rate, including roundtrip travel time, from the York County Courthouse to the court location we were required to appear at.
